Royal Afternoon Tea in Darien on May 21

Carolyn Eddie and her fabulous supporting crew return to the DCA for a Royal Themed Afternoon Tea on Friday, May 21. There is something deliciously opulent about a traditional pot of tea with fluffy scones, perfectly-cut sandwiches and almost too-good-to-eat cakes, this is the quintessential British experience. A special non-alcoholic cocktail adds to the festive atmosphere.

What better place to enjoy this traditional occasion than beautiful “Meadowlands,” our National Register of Historic Places estate; outdoor seating will be available in our stunning formal garden, weather-permitting. Come let your regal side shine, tiaras optional, this royal themed event will make you feel like the Queen.

An attractive boxed take-home option is also available, with pick-up from the DCA. This is a great idea for those who may wish to create their own afternoon tea party at home, or maybe, a lovely gift idea for a loved one.

Two options on Friday May 21:

1. 1)   Seatings at the DCA from 11:30am to 1:30pm (Choose your seating time when you register online.)
   DCA members $40
   Public $50

1. 2)   To-go orders: (Pick up between 11:30am and 12:00 noon at the DCA.)
   DCA members $30
   Public $35

If you are not currently a DCA member but become one for our new membership year beginning June 1, we will offer you the member price for the tea. Members receive discounted admission for our activities, and find that their membership pays for itself simply by participating in several events each year.
