Darien Community Association Presents Skyhunters in Flight: Birds of Prey Demonstration

Come as a family for an up-close look at live owls, hawks, and falcons from around the world, with Master Falconer Brian Bradley. Learn how these beautiful birds play an important role at the top of the food chain in our environment.

See their amazing adaptations for survival in the wild and hear about the ancient sport of falconry. You will see some of these trained athletes in flight, so join us for an informative, entertaining and action-oriented program for both adults and children (age 3 and up).

The event will be on Sunday, October 3, from 2:00-3:00pm on the DCA’s expansive front lawn, so bring a blanket. And plan to continue your afternoon by enjoying the features (perfect for children) of our adjacent four acre DCA Bird Sanctuary and Nature Trail.

Brian Bradley has been an animal trainer for over 20 years. His passion for the outdoors and birds of prey began at the age of 14, when he became an apprentice falconer. The love of raptors and a desire to educate others about these magnificent creatures led to the creation of his Skyhunters in Flight program.

Admission:

  • Individual ticket: DCA member $15, public $20
  • One adult with children: $25
  • Family: $40

Register online at dariendca.org by noon on Friday, October 1 or contact the DCA at 203-655-9050 ext. 10. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled.
