Darien Library Welcomes Author Kathy Benjamin: It's Your Funeral!

Darien Library presents an event that examines funeral planning in a new and positive way.

Kathy Benjamin, author of It's Your Funeral!: Plan the Celebration of a Lifetime—Before It’s Too Late, will join Darien Library to speak about death positivity, mapping out all the elements of a funeral, and turning the funeral planning process into an act of self-love instead of a source of constant worry. With a mixture of comforting guidance and fun facts about funeral traditions from around the world, Kathy Benjamin will help attendees demystify death.

This virtual event will take place on Wednesday, October 6 at 7 p.m. Register on Darien Library’s website at www.darienlibrary.org/event/5301.

This program is a part of a series, Begin with the End in Mind. The end is not a topic many feel comfortable discussing and that is why we are often not prepared when the time comes. It is to everyone’s advantage to discuss plans and preferences regarding death. The goal of this series is to help attendees and their loved ones learn how to properly plan from beginning to end.

This series will take place the first Wednesday evenings of every month at 7 p.m.
