Celebrity Pastry Chef Gesine Bullock-Prado to Visit Darien Library on Monday, March 13

Join Darien Library on a culinary journey north to celebrate celebrity pastry chef and cookbook author Gesine Bullock-Prado's new book, My Vermont Table: Recipes for All (Six) Seasons. Gesine will be in conversation with Barrett Bookstore's Page Berger on Monday, March 13th at 7 p.m. in Darien Library's Community Room.

Gesine will she take readers on a sweet and savory journey through each of the six special Vermont seasons. Mouth-watering recipes like Vermont cheddar soup, maple pulled pork sliders, and other quintessential Vermont flavors we know and love, are updated with ingredients and spices she grows in her backyard. With stunning photos, Vermonters and visitors alike will revel in a seat at this table. There is so much to talk about!

About the Author

Gesine Bullock-Prado is a renowned pastry chef, cookbook author, baking instructor and television personality. She is the author of five baking books, Sugar Baby, Pie It Forward, Bake it Like You Mean It, Let Them Eat Cake, Fantastical Cakes, and her baking memoir My Life from Scratch. Her confections have been featured in such publications as Better Homes and Gardens and People Magazine, she has been the contributing food editor of both Runner’s World and Food + Wine, she has co-hosted Cooking Channel’s Unique Sweets and is a regular food presenter on the Today Show and NPR’s All Things Considered. 

She is the host of Food Network’s Baked in Vermont and has appeared as a judge on several Food Network competitions. She is the owner and baking instructor at Sugar Glider Kitchen and is working towards getting her Vermont Master Gardener Certification in 2023.
