"Don't Wait" free film screening & discussion at Darien Library on March 22

The Thriving Youth Task Force, Silver Hill Hospital and YWCA Parent Awareness are presenting a free screening and panel discussion of “Don’t Wait,” the award-winning film about substance use prevention and early intervention utilizing the power of proactive parenting, on Wednesday, March 22nd at 7pm at Darien Library.

“Don’t Wait," a film from the nonprofit organization Addiction is Real, provides insights on why it’s essential for parents to talk to their kids early and often; how to best approach these conversations; and what to do if you spot the signs of drug and alcohol use in your child.

The 52-minute screening will be followed by a discussion with Erin Kelley, Executive Director of Addiction is Real, and a mother featured in the film who will share her personal experiences with addiction.

Registration is free at www.communityfunddarien.org/tytf-programs-and-events
