The one exhibition that takes a whole village, Community Sponsored Awards, will open at the Rowayton Arts Center on Sunday, May 6. This exhibition has a prize in every category thanks to the generosity of the community. Dozens of winners will be selected and thousands of dollars (donated by friends and local businesses) will be awarded. The art, submitted by RAC Exhibiting Members, is created without limitations in media or theme. You can expect to see a full range of styles from abstraction to realism. The juror is Westport gallery owner Amy Simon (Amy Simon Fine Art). The Chairs are Mary Harold (Ridgefield) and Chris Perry (Ridgefield).
The opening reception, Sunday, May 6 (4-6pm) is free and open to the public. Exhibition winners will be announced at the reception. The show will be in the gallery until June 2. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday (11-5pm). Closed Sunday and Monday.
