Darien Police officers were on hand this weekend for a street co-naming ceremony dedicating Fairfield Avenue as “Chick Scribner Way”.
Scribner is a Darien resident and WWII Veteran who has volunteered as a firefighter with the @norotonheightsfd and local Boy Scout troops for over 50 years!
Mr. Scribner is the first recipient of a new program that co-names Darien streets after local Wartime Veterans.
This new initiative was created by Middlesex Middle School history teacher, Lucy Berry.
