This is the sweetest! Thank you to Darien Police for answering this community call making a young resident's heart sing! "We heard that when this little girl’s birthday party got canceled she responded, But nobody will be with me when I’m 5...that makes my heart sad."
"It made our hearts sad too, so naturally, we had to jump into action!" Officer say.
And jump into action they did! A caravan of police cars and even a fire truck traveled down the birthday girl's street! At the end of the caravan of cruisers - a present awaited!
As you can see from the video and photos, turning five was fabulous!
"Our community has been very, very supportive of us over the past several weeks. Thank you. The least we could do is try to dry up some of this young resident’s tears," police say.
