New Darien COVID Testing Provider Information

The Town of Darien announces today a new COVID-19 testing option for its residents.

After exploring several options, Town of Darien has agreed to allow Everpoint Health (www.everpointhealth.com) to utilize the Leroy West parking site to run a private, out-of-network testing center. Everpoint Health patients are required to pay for testing services at the time of registration.

According to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, "With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, we felt that we needed to expand access by adding additional testing resources for the residents of Darien. This is especially true given the upcoming holidays and the recent departure of Murphy Medical.  We need an immediate turnkey solution that will provide our residents with timely service and expanded hours that can function within the limitations of our Leroy West lot. In addition, we also wanted to find an entity that could potentially serve as a future partner in the upcoming COVID 19 vaccination roll out."

First Selectman Stevenson made it clear that the Town of Darien has no obligation, financial or otherwise, to Everpoint Health.  In addition to Everpoint Health, she notes that there are many other entities that provide in-network testing services locally for Darien residents.  These centers can be located at www.211ct.org/

"Our goal is to continue to identify and meet the diverse needs of our residents in an effort to help them navigate this global health crisis."
