Niche, a website headquartered in Pennsylvania that boasts they review and analyze dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews to produce comprehensive rankings, has released the 2023 Best School Districts in Connecticut.
Darien has been ranked the 4th best school district in Connecticut!
Darien School District is a top-rated, public school district. It has 4,653 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 11 to 1. According to state test scores, 85% of students are at least proficient in math and 85% in reading.

This ranking is based on "rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more," according to the Niche website.
