SoundWaters Flotilla Paddle to Protect the Sound on July 14

Paddle to protect the Sound! Join the hundreds of area residents who will paddle to protect Long Island Sound in the SoundWaters Flotilla on Saturday, July 14th at 8:30AM.

Kayakers and paddleboarders will launch from Weed Beach and Cove Island Park in Stamford and paddle in a colorful 4-mile flotilla to Stamford Harbor where they will celebrate with food, music and a fun summer beach party. Timed with the tide, this is a great way to explore the CT coastline with a group, and SoundWaters will provide return transport back to participants' starting point following a beautiful morning on the water. For more details or to sign up to paddle, visit SoundWatersFlotilla.org

The Flotilla is sponsored by SoundWaters with generous support from Legg Mason Global Asset Management. SoundWaters is a non-profit focused on protecting Long Island Sound through education. Each year, they teach over 32,000 students from across Connecticut about Long Island Sound. Those students will grow up to be the adults who protect Long Island Sound for generations to come. The SoundWaters Flotilla is presented by Legg Mason and supported by DownUnder, Darien Neighbors Magazine and Hey Stamford!  SoundWatersFlotilla.org.
