Darien Resident Grant Cellar Earns Dean Raymond Ede Superior Academic Achievement Award from Army and Navy Academy

Grant Cellar of Darien has received Army and Navy Academy's Dean Raymond Ede Superior Academic Achievement Award for his scholastic performance during the Fall 2019 semester. Cellar is from the Class of 2022 at the Army and Navy Academy.

Named after the late Dean Raymond Ede who served the Academy for over forty years, the award is granted each semester to students with high achievement in the school's college preparatory program. Each of the recipients has maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.8.

"We are very proud of these students who have shown such a strong commitment to their studies and we know they'll continue to strive for excellence in all that they do, "said Ethan Segovia, Dean of Academics.

Founded in 1910, the Army and Navy Academy is a private not-for-profit institution that provides an academically robust, character-based education for young men, grades 7 through 12. It is the only private boarding school in San Diego County and the only private military academy for high school-age students in California and surrounding states.
