Creativity Connects Darien

What fuels a vibrant, connected, and creative community? What makes people feel good about living in Darien?

When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in Darien.

Creativity connects us.

Meet Kesti Aysseh, Executive Development Director, The Depot Youth Center.

Is there an organization in Town that makes you feel good?

Yes! Darien Depot Youth Center! The Depot is a nonprofit and located at 25 Heights Road. The Depot’s mission is to build confident youth in our community offering a connected and inclusive environment for all teens (public, private or homeschooled), by providing essential programming and leadership development.

The Depot is a safe place to explore and develop socially and emotionally through a broad variety of clubs and programs and educational opportunities. 'Depot Friday Night', a weekend night drop-in program, 'Respect Works', a program raising domestic violence awareness and 'The Volunteer Club', are just a few of the programs being run out of The Depot on a weekly basis. Depot programs strive to instill respect, honesty, responsibility, inclusion, safety and leadership in our youth.

The Depot is proud to be a vital town asset, helping to strengthen youth, adults, families and our community!
