Fairfield County Bank Holds 151st Annual Meeting, Elects New Corporators

Fairfield County Bank held its 151st Annual Meeting at the Silver Spring County Club. The attendees included the Board of Directors, the Board of Incorporators, and the Senior Management of the Bank. The Annual Meeting is held to inform the Corporators on the financial well-being of the Bank, success and growth over the past year, and strategic plans for the coming year.

Ralph L. DePanfilis, Chairman of the Board, welcomed the attendees to the meeting and led the vote to elect five new Corporators: Daniel Bara of Weston, CT, Doug Bayer of Wilton, CT, Peter Furfaro of Ridgefield, CT, Robert Rossman of Brookfield, CT, and Jean Walker of Norwalk, CT.

David A. Schneider, CEO, and Daniel L. Berta, President, presented on the financials of the Bank, the product and service offering, innovation across the organization, and community engagement. Presentation highlights included a review of the strong financial position of the Bank through rising inflation and further current economic factors from Mr. Schneider.

Mr. Berta spoke on several topics, including the Bank’s commitment to the Fairfield County community. Fairfield County Bank donated nearly $1,000,000 in corporate contributions to over 350 charitable organizations, with Bank employees volunteering over 3,300 hours throughout 2021. President Dan Berta then highlighted the Bank’s full-service banking with access to insurance and investment services. He spoke about the Bank’s online financial wellness platform, powered by Banzai. The platform supports students in 37 schools throughout Fairfield County with articles, interactive courses, and financial calculators along their financial literacy journey. The Bank also offers the program to their clients and community members as well as to local non-profits with the ability to co-brand it for their members use.
