At Home In Darien Hires New Executive Director

At Home In Darien, an organization that helps seniors live independently, comfortably and with dignity in their own homes for as long as possible, is pleased to welcome Chris Jones as its Executive Director.

Chris will assume the overall strategic and operational responsibilities for staff, programs, services, fundraising, marketing, public relations, and the execution of the mission. He brings experience in organizational leadership and management and is now anxious to enter the non-profit sector, focusing his attention on the needs of seniors within our community.

“I am both honored and humbled to have been selected by the Board of Directors to assume this important role,” said Chris. “I feel that there is no better mission than to support our seniors and provide the critical services that will help them age in-place for as long as possible, and I am tremendously excited to join such a caring and trusted organization.”

Board President, Susan Bhirud, adds “We are pleased to have Chris in the office and have already seen him embrace our range of services. There has been an increasing need for transportation in the past month and we assume it will continue. As the senior demographic expands, both locally and throughout the country, we hope to increase our presence, providing assistance that allows our older neighbors to live with confidence and comfort within their Darien homes.”

At Home In Darien is a non-profit organization founded to support and enhance the town as a multi-generational community. The organization provides transportation, in home support and assistance, referral to vetted home maintenance providers, and coordination with local events and services.
