Darien High School Class of 2023 will graduate on Wednesday, June14 at 5:00 P.M. at the DHS Stadium Field, weather permitting.
Should the weather cooperate, there are no ticket limits per graduate and no tickets will be needed to enter the stadium. If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the auditorium. If this occurs, only two tickets will be permitted per graduate. These two tickets will be distributed to seniors when they pick up their cap and gown on June 1st or 2nd.
Seniors should arrive by 4:15 p.m. and report to the cafeteria to check in and pick up their lineup number. Seniors are not allowed to carry anything into the ceremony and there is no secure area to leave bags or other personal items outdoors.
For attendees, gates open at 4:00 p.m. and seats are first-come, first-serve. There will be folding chairs on the field. The entire home side bleachers will also be open for seating. Walking on the Stadium Field turf in high or spike heels can be dangerous, so please choose your footwear with that in mind.
For your planning, the ceremony will last about one hour and forty-five minutes. The ceremony will be projected in the Main Gym, where we will have seating set up for those who wish to remain indoors. It will also be live-streamed by DAF Media and will be accessible through THIS YouTube LINK (will be updated when available).
Robert Taylor Photography will take photos of graduates receiving their diplomas and will contact families via email with information and proofs after the ceremony.
Please note: There will be no concessions at graduation.
TRAFFIC AND PARKING
Traffic and parking for Graduation will be controlled by the Darien Police Department. All vehicles must enter via Noroton Avenue, as High School Lane and Nutmeg Lane will be closed. Parking will be very tight, and families may have to park some distance from the Stadium, so please plan accordingly.
Accessible Parking will be located in the lower parking lot near the Stadium. If your family requires access, please let a traffic officer know and you will be directed there.
