Darien Chamber Offering Welcome Totes

The Darien Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with its wide and diverse Chamber membership, has brought back a spin on the Welcome Wagon to Darien!

06820 Welcome Totes have been prepared and are ready to welcome new residents and families moving into Darien. The Chamber will be giving away free totes full of goodies and helpful information provided by over 50 Chamber members. Item giveaways include samples, coupons, discounts, products, gifts, useful information, and resources for the home.

“We are hoping the program embodies a certain spirit of warm hospitality and welcome while informing the new residents of all that Darien has to offer and encourage shopping local”, said Aysseh, Darien Chamber Executive Director, “We also hope to enlighten our new homeowners of the many invaluable resources the Chamber offers, connecting them to our businesses, including where and how they can stay updated an all-things Darien, especially our town-wide gift certificate program!”

The Chamber is grateful to the participating local real estate firms, managers and agents who will be handing out the totes to clients as they move into their new homes. Hollow Tree Self Storage, William Raveis and Palmer’s Market have also been instrumental in helping to launch this program.

If you would like to place an item in the totes, please contact Kesti Aysseh about joining the Chamber or visit www.darienctchamber.com. This is the pilot year for the program and currently, there is no extra fee to contribute to the totes. The plan is to collect items about 2-3 times per year, assemble the bags and distribute to the real estate agencies. The program is open to Chamber members and recipients must be new to Darien. If you have recently moved and closed on your house after May 1, 2023, please contact your local real estate agent or the Chamber at 203-655-3600 for a tote.
