Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

Three questions with Craig Stansbury, CEO of Little Bug Greetings.
When an Ordinary Card Just Won't Do!
Why did you start your business?
I started my business because I wanted to broaden myself in different ways. I wanted to explore a creative outlet, use my business skills already honed through a career in banking and public accounting AND I wanted to plug into my community from a different level. Little Bug Greetings helps me to do all of this and more. I’m thrilled with it.
Best selling product?
I sell only greeting cards at this time though I am expanding into wall art. My best selling cards are “Amaryllis” and “ Winter Felix”, which are watercolor works of a Christmas flower and a friendly tufted titmouse, respectively. Each has been a popular corporate holiday greeting card.
I use LP MacAdams to print my cards. They are in Bridgeport. I sell my cards at Dominick’s Gift Shop, SoNo Baking, Compo Farms Flowers, Flowers and Flowers and Barret Book Store in Darien. I also sell at Reynolds Farms Nursery in Norwalk and Designs by Lee in Stamford amongst others such as Mrs. Blooms in NYC.
