You're IT The Hairy Barker Inn & Spa!
Three questions with Sandra Bonom, owner of The Hairy Barker Inn & Spa.
Why did you start your business?
I opened The Hairy Barker Inn & Spa because I have loved dogs all my life and wanted to spend my days with them. I began grooming my cocker spaniel, Sniffs Barney, about 25 years ago. I went on from there to grooming my friend's dogs and then… Grooming School so that I could enjoy all breeds.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business: I wish I could...
I wish Tokeneke Road wasn’t such a forgotten street. It’s like a forgotten piece of Darien. I also wish there was more space and outdoor space to let dogs truly enjoy their time with at The Hairy Barker Inn & Spa.
Locally, I support many eateries, Meatball & Co, Mangia Deli and Post Corner Pizza - all know us well because of my staff purchases lunch for delivery everyday! Also, we enjoy Dunkin Donuts refreshments and CVS sees us daily for all sorts of items. We use Darien News Store for office supplies.
