Darien Library Closed Friday through March 10 After Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

Darien Library's building is closed Friday, March 5th through Wednesday, March 10th to sanitize after confirmed staff COVID-19 cases. We have completed contact tracing and notified individuals who were in potential contact with them.

The health and safety of our community and patrons are our top priority. In consultation with the Darien Department of Health, we are making some adjustments to our hours and services for the next week. Please see below for the list of changes.

When Services are Available

Friday, March 5th

• Virtual programs will continue as planned.
• Remote reference and readers advisory services will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling (203) 655-1234. 

Saturday, March 6th

• Returns will be accepted at the drive-up drop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, March 7th

• Virtual programs will continue as planned.
• Returns will be accepted at the drive-up drop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Holds may be picked up from the Community Room from 1 to 5 p.m.
• Returns will be accepted in the Community Room from 1 to 5 p.m.

Monday, March 8th - Wednesday, March 10th

• Virtual programs will continue as planned.
• Returns will be accepted in the Community Room from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Holds may be picked up from the Community Room from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Remote reference and readers advisory services will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling (203) 655-1234.
