Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Pasta Vita!

Three questions with Nathan E. Cholewa, Marketing Manager at Pasta Vita.

Why did you start your business?

Pasta Vita began over 25 years ago as a wholesale pasta factory and has grown to be Connecticut’s premier gourmet-to-go retail store in Connecticut.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Pasta Vita’s best-selling product is all of our chicken dishes. We prepare hundreds of fresh selections every day. The most popular is our Chicken Francaise, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Picatta and Chicken Marsala.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Pasta Vita has grown every year we’ve been in business, but our philosophy has always been the same. Our goal is to be sure every customer receives the best and freshest gourmet meals and the most excellent customer service.

Pasta Vita has five locations in Connecticut including 364 Boston Post Road in Darien. Visit Pasta Vita online here, and make sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram pages as well!
