You're IT Fitnix!

Three questions with Christopher, founder of Fitnix.

Why did you start your business?

There I was, running in the desert, in the middle of nowhere, with my dog Colby at my side…

That’s the beginning of many of my favorite personal stories. It also describes the circumstances in which the idea of the Olympus Grip was born.

After military service and graduate school, my wife and I moved to Nevada to begin a new life and a family of our own. I soon found that juggling the time demands of work and family life made it very difficult to maintain my personal fitness at the level I had become accustomed to in the military.

To help stay in shape, I ran the Las Vegas marathon every year but came to realize that running was doing nothing to help maintain my upper body and related muscles. I looked to find a solution that would allow me to get an upper-body workout while running but could not find anything suitable on the market. I set out to solve this problem. The result is the Olympus Grip, a comprehensive exercise product for all your fitness needs.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Fitnix LLC is headquartered in Darien, CT. It will launch its first product, the Olympus Grip, soon through a crowdfunding campaign. The Olympus Grip was designed to make fitness accessible, effective, and fun!

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Fitnix LLC was started a few months prior to the COVID pandemic. Fitnix’s mission is to promote the idea that exercise improves physical and mental health. For many, COVID has influenced people to become more creative about ways to exercise at home. The Olympus Grip is not only a great tool for exercising at home but a way for people to take advantage of the natural beauty of their surroundings and work out anywhere.

Fitnix is eager to launch the Olympus Grip, but like many other businesses, COVID has led to supply chain and manufacturing delays so we have learned to add a bit of patience to our determination to create the best fitness product on the market.
