Why Small Businesses Matter in Darien: Tickle Your Palate

Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Tickle Your Palate!

Three questions with Margaret Pagliarulo, founder of Tickle Your Palate.

Why did you start your business?

I have always loved to cook and being in the kitchen is my happy place. It all began during the beginning of Covid, we quarantined out on our family farm with our oldest son, Dante, and his wife Meagen. Our farm is in Western Pennsylvania, established in 1797. We had many family dinners together. One night I made my Habanero sauce with a hint of orange and it was a hit.

A lightbulb went off and I decided to produce Tickle Your Palate Exquisite Habanero Sauce and use the proceeds to help preserve our ancestorial farm and all of its history!

What is your best-selling product/service?

Presently, we have our Exquisite Habanero Sauce with the Delectable Hint of Orange. Tickle Your Palate has produced many flavors such as orange ginger and a preserved lemon habanero sauce with the intention of bringing them to the market in the future.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business and can you name them?

Yes, just in time for the Holidays. Tickle Your Palate Exquisite Habanero Sauce can be found at these locations:
