Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT The Impeccable Nanny Agency!
Four questions with Jane E. Thielen, founder of The Impeccable Nanny Agency.
Why did you start your business?
With my background as a former nanny and having worked in the industry prior, I found there was a need for a nanny agency that focused on providing professional nannies for working parents.
My aim was to be able to help moms excel at home and in their careers. Additionally, during COVID there were so many stories of moms who were not able to continue working due to child care challenges, we wanted to be part of the solution.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We place professional nannies!
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
We use a variety of businesses, HAVYN for our co-working space, and also use local marketing firms when the need arises!
Have you reimagined your small business?
Right before the start of COVID, I added the nanny agency, I also have a recruiting business focused on CT and NY manufacturers.
