Darien Arts Center Announces Digital Illustration Contest

The Darien Arts Center, along with Technical Reproductions of Norwalk, is announcing a new Digital Illustration Contest for all ages. Anyone may enter the contest at no charge in one of two categories: as a student (ages 17 and under) or as an adult (ages 18 and over). The contest is open for submissions from March 1 through March 31, 2023. Only artwork created digitally may be entered and artists may enter up to 3 images.

To enter, contestants must post their artwork on a public Instagram account along with the title of the work, artists name, age/category, and the hashtag #DACTRdigital. Contestants must also follow the Darien Arts Center and Technical Reproductions on Instagram and tag them in their post.

Entries will be judged by a panel of judges that include the DAC’s Visual Arts Director Lisa Rae Koorbusch and Jacob Powers, DAC Digital Illustration Instructor. The winner of each age category will receive an 18” x 24” print of their artwork from Technical Reproductions on heavy stock satin paper. Additionally, the DAC will feature winning images on its website, Instagram feed and in publicity, and will display winning artwork in its atrium for one year. Winners will be announced on April 7, 2023. To find out more about the contest, visit darienarts.org or call (203) 655-8683. The Darien Arts Center is located at 2 Renshaw Road, behind the Darien Town Hall.
