Why Small Businesses Matter in Darien: Lil Brit of Wax

Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Lil Brit of Wax!

Four questions with Claire Kling, founder of Lil Brit of Wax.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business because I received a facial from another business in CA, which was very mediocre and lacking in essential details of customer service. I knew I could make a difference and go above and beyond by working for myself and for my clients.

What is your best-selling product/service?

My best-selling services are my customized facials. My best-selling product is my collagen elastin cream from my own line of products. Clients absolutely love it as well as the price point. I like to keep things simple but effective.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

I visit Suse at “Darizen” in Darien for acupuncture and I get my smoothies on a quick lunch break from “Barvida” also in Darien.  Highly recommend both places.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

I have reimagined my small business by always learning new modalities by listening to my clients and improving services designed for each client, such as express services for busy clients, or offering services that are new to the area.

Claire would like to nominate The Salt Cave of Darien to be featured next!
