Darien, CT – At approximately 11:30am on April 9, 2014 this agency received a report that a vehicle in the area of Heights Rd. and Noroton Ave. was missing a tire and was driving only on its front rim. Shortly thereafter officers located the vehicle parked next to an air pump at a nearby gas station.
Officers identified the operator as David Christian Bognar, age 19, of 236 Old Kings Hwy. North, Darien. Bognar seemed incoherent and was exhibiting signs of intoxication. He also had a juvenile passenger in the vehicle who was unresponsive and clearly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The juvenile was incapacitated and subsequently transported to the hospital.
