The Darien Police Department congratulates Captain John Lawlor on his retirement! After almost 34 years of service, yesterday, February 28, was the last day of his distinguished career.
"Captain Lawlor instituted the department’s crisis intervention team and also the department’s Project Lifesaver program. Lawlor was a member of the school safety committee and was a long-standing member of the department’s SCUBA team and the Southwest Regional Emergency Response Team," the Department says. "It was an honor and privilege to serve with John and we wish him the best of luck in his retirement!" they add.
