Narcotics Arrest
During the month of April, the Darien Police Department became aware of illicit drug sales in the Noroton Heights section of town and an investigation was initiated.
By utilizing resources, Darien officers developed information identifying a suspect vehicle that was determined to belong to a resident of Bridgeport. With assistance from members of the Stamford Police N.O.C. Unit and a Bridgeport Police Task Force, several controlled drug buys were made while utilizing an undercover officer.
On May 12th another controlled drug buy was conducted for $400 worth of heroin and crack cocaine. The heroin later tested presumptively positive for Fentanyl. When back in Bridgeport the suspect, Marc Busanet, was taken into custody by Bridgeport Police. Busanet was then turned over to Darien Police on the strength of an active arrest warrant for the sale of narcotics. Busanet was held on $100,000 bond and was arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on 5/15/23. This is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests are expected.
The Darien Police Department would like to thank the Stamford Police Department and Bridgeport Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
