Last week, the Darien Police Department welcomed a new officer, Cody Harwood-Smith.
"Officer Harwood-Smith graduated from the Police Academy today along with 48 classmates representing dozens of other Connecticut police departments, after 6 months of rigorous basic training," the Department explains.
Officer Harwood-Smith began the comprehensive Field Training Program this past Saturday which will last several months.
