Health Expert Samantha Heller at Fairfield Library, Nov. 16

Join the Fairfield Public Library for a unique multimedia wellness presentation when health expert Samantha Heller and jazz musician Michael Coppola return with another Fusion of Science and Song presentation. From age 9 to 90, from 5Ks to triathlons, fueling is a key ingredient to reaching your goals. Learn what to eat, and when, to make the most out of your training and competitions. Boost knowledge, performance and skill with this cutting edge approach to sports nutrition. Heller and Coppola integrate complex scientific principals with music, taking evidence-based nutrition to a whole new level as they amaze, amuse and educate. The event is set for Sunday, November 16 at 3:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is required.

Heller is a senior clinical nutritionist at New York University's Sports Performance Center where she works with athletes to optimize health and performance. A registered dietitian, exercise physiologist and author, Samantha is also the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT and the host of 'Samantha Heller’s Health & Nutrition Show' on Sirius XM's DOCTOR Radio. She has appeared on CBS This Morning, The Today Show, MSNBC, Better Connecticut, NY1 News, Dr. Oz and more.

Coppola is a veteran jazz guitarist known for his innovation with the creation of eight and nine string guitars. He performs at area venues such as Café 9 in New Haven, Fuji of Darien and Ari Bella in Shelton. He also performs regularly at Connecticut hospitals and a hospice, spreading the healing power of music.
