At a recent Board of Selectmen’s meeting, First Selectman Tetreau, Selectman Shelia Marmion and Selectman Kevin Kiley held a drawing to announce the following top two prize recipients: Olga Voros of Fairfield, who won a grand prize package that includes one night’s stay, with deluxe accommodations, at the Delamar Southport, plus dinner for two at Artisan Restaurant, plus a 60-minute couple’s massage; and Rosanne Young of Fairfield, who won dinner for four at The Grey Goose Restaurant in Southport. A complete list of winners can be found at www.fairfieldct.org/rw.
Along with the passport promotion, the Town of Fairfield ran a simultaneous social media campaign on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, for patrons who posted a photo of themselves enjoying a dish at one of the participating restaurants and included the hashtag #FairfieldRestaurantWeek in the caption. The top two prize winners were Marie Genest of Milford, who won a stay package at the Fairfield Circle Inn, and John Kuhn of Fairfield, who won a $50 gift certificate to b.good Restaurant.
First Selectman Tetreau said, “I wanted to thank everyone who helped make our 4th annual Fairfield Restaurant Week a rousing success. Fairfield Restaurant Week has quickly become something of a tradition…something to look forward to each year…and each year, it seems to get better and better. We had a record 41 Fairfield restaurants participating this year. And, the word is out that Fairfield is the 'in' place for dining.”
Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart said, “I especially want to thank our primary sponsor, Bankwell, and our many prize contributors, especially our grand and special prize contributors, Delamar Southport, Artisan Restaurant, the Spa at the Delamar and the Gray Goose Restaurant. We want to continue to grow this event, and make it even better, and so we’d love to hear from the public through the online survey.”
