Fairfield, Conn. – The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and The Castle on Post will host its March Business After Hours (BAH) on Wednesday, March 9th, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at 222 Post Road, Fairfield, CT.
It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and a perfect time to network and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early. Attendees will enjoy a free glass of wine, beer or soft drink, plus taste delicious, authentic Irish cuisine by sampling a variety of light bites and appetizers.
The owners are Patrick Clyne, former owner of Black Rock Castle and Kevin O’Halloran. Patrick moved to the USA from Leitrim, Ireland in 1984 and Kevin moved from Dublin, Ireland in 1997, eventually settling down in Fairfield to raise their families.
They’ve both managed restaurant bars for a number of years, and most recently, Patrick was the bar manager at the popular Gates Restaurant in New Canaan which closed in April 2015. Kevin had a long run at The Field in Black Rock before recently working at The Little Pub in Greenwich.
The opportunity to open a place of their own came up in August and they jumped on it. They longed to open a small cozy Irish pub with a great atmosphere and exceptional food. And now, they’ve done just that with The Castle on Post … both are thrilled to be able to serve their friends and neighbors from Fairfield and Black Rock.
The Chamber’s Business After Hours event is an informal, after-work gathering for Chamber members, prospective members and guests. It is an opportunity to network with other business associates & colleagues, exchange ideas, obtain business leads and make professional referrals and friends. During the evening, guests will enjoy lively discussions, idea sharing and conversations with colleagues, Chamber members and their guests.
