Warde H.S. Grad Ed MacDonald Passes, Age 64

Bridgeport, CT - Edward W. MacDonald, age 64, passed away on February 26, 2016 in Saint Vincent Medical Center after a brief illness.

Edward's memory will be cherished by his daughter, Marissa Barreto and her husband Brian, of Oxford; his two grandsons whom he adored, Nathan and Ethan; seven siblings, Linda MacDonald, of Fairfield, Susan Rowe, and her husband, Elmer, of Milford, Diane McKeown, of Manchester, Carol Heibler, and her husband, Richard, of Fairfield, William MacDonald, and his wife, Lynda, of Divide, CO, Karen Ward, and her husband, Gary, of Fairfield, Janet Georgen, and her husband, Lawrence, of Fairfield; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews; a dearest friend, Lisa Ludvinsky. In addition to his beloved wife Elaine Izzo MacDonald, he was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Marie Griswold MacDonald.

Raised in Fairfield, Edward graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1969, and continued his studies at Norwalk Technical School, where he learned to be an electrician. He was employed by Forstrom Electric, and later, Mars Electrical Contractors until his retirement.

He enjoyed caring for and riding his Harley Davidson, summer vacationing with his family on Moosehead Lake in Maine, and spending time with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and close friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A committal service will take place at 7 PM with Deacon John Moranski officiating. His interment will be private.
