Fairfield County, CT: Chef Judith Roll first introduced her vibrant Middle Eastern Cuisine to Stamford, CT in 2009. Her fresh and flavorful menu, which featured grilled meat kabobs, traditional shawarma, creative salads, creamy hummus, tabouli, baba ghanoush, chicken schnitzel, and scrumptious falafel soon worked its way into an already robust local dining scene. In 2011 Tabouli Grill headed north and opened a sister location in Southport, CT, once again acquainting consumers to this delicious and healthful cuisine.
This week Judith closed the doors of her Southport location, making the decision to head back to her hometown of Stamford and concentrate her efforts on her newly opened neighborhood restaurant, Judy’s Bar & Kitchen. Judy’s, an American comfort food respite, includes house smoked brisket, ribs, chicken, wings, and turkey, in addition to fried chicken, juicy burgers, overloaded sandwiches, and hearty salads. Judy’s from-scratch philosophy carries over into her decadent dessert menu. Faves include North Carolina lemon tart, pecan pie, and chocolate peanut butter cake. Wines on tap, extensive beer selections, and craft cocktails round out the menu.
Judy’s is looking forward to the beautiful weather and the opening of their large patio where a front seat to a bustling town at work and play can be viewed while enjoying a smoked chicken reuben with gruyere, house smoked chicken breast, cole slaw and Russian dressing on grilled rye bread, along with a cold IPA.
