
Bridgeport, CT -- The Child & Family Guidance Center announced that Dana Scinto Colangelo has been elected Chairperson of its Board of Directors, with Mindee Blanco stepping into the Vice Chairperson position. For nearly a century, the mission of The Child and Family Guidance Center has been to address the emotional and psychological well-being of children and their families. Over the last year alone, The Child and Family Guidance Center served nearly 3,300 children and families with 88% of their clients living in poverty. Their main office is in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with clinics in Fairfield, Norwalk, and Stratford. Both Colangelo and Blanco are residents of Fairfield, Connecticut.

Dana Scinto Colangelo, a proud mother and community volunteer, has helped organize creative fundraisers for nonprofits throughout the area. Colangelo works part-time for R.D. Scinto, Inc., a family-owned real estate company, as director of Public Relations. She is also on the President’s Council of the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Cancer Center. Colangelo has been a member of The Child & Family Guidance Center’s Board of Directors for nine years, and most recently held the position of Vice Chairperson. She lives in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Mindee Blanco currently serves as Barnum Financial Group’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for leading a wide range of important areas that each contribute to the success of the organization. She directs Barnum’s Wealth Strategies Division which, under her leadership, has become a transformative organization creating a business model that offers comprehensive consulting and timely, targeted sales empowerment and support. In addition, Mindee oversees Barnum’s lead management and client relationship management technology initiatives, advisor teaming, training and development, and the firm’s physical infrastructure management. She is a co-founder of Foundation for Life, Inc., a non-profit organization that supports hundreds of organizations throughout the Northeast. Mindee also serves as President of the Parents Council at The Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Child and Family Guidance Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut for the last six years. Mindee and her husband Paul reside in Fairfield, Connecticut with their three children, Jennie, Sydnee, and Paul.
