Meet Author Sara Moulton at Pequot Library, Nov. 27

Southport, CT -- Meet prolific cookbook author and host of the PBS series Sara’s Weeknight Meals, Sara Moulton, on Sunday, November 27, from 4:00 - 6:00pm, in Pequot Library's Auditorium. Bring your visiting relatives to this not-to-be-missed event! Or leave the holiday weekend dishes in the sink to soak and be entertained, educated, and enriched instead of cleaning up after the Thanksgiving weekend! A teacher at heart, Moulton's mission has remained the same for decades—to help the home cook land a tasty dinner on the table every night.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Moulton has been working in the food industry for more than thirty years. After graduation, she relocated to Boston and worked behind-the-scenes on Julia Child and More Company, which was filmed in Boston. The two became friends, and Moulton assisted Child when she made appearances on Good Morning America. This opportunity eventually led her to a position as the on-air Food Editor for the program. Moulton was a co-founder of the New York Women's Culinary Alliance, a networking organization for New York-based female professionals in the food and beverage industry. She also worked as the executive chef of Gourmet magazine, which ceased publication in 2009. She is best known for her programs, Cooking LiveCooking Live Primetime, and Sara’s Secrets, which aired on the Food Network during the network’s first decade on-air.

Moulton kicked off her fifth season as host of public television's Sara's Weeknight Meals in October 2015. She is the author of several cookbooks including Sara Moulton Cooks at Home (2002), Sara's Secrets for Weeknight Meals(2005), and Sara Moulton's Everyday Family Dinners (2010). In March 2016, Moulton released her latest, Sara Moulton’s Home Cooking 101: How to Make Everything Taste Better, a cookbook and teaching manual aimed at making readers more confident and efficient in the kitchen. Moulton’s 30-40 minute author talk will be followed by a Q & A, book sales, signing, and refreshments. This event is part of Pequot Library’s Meet the Author series. It is free and open to the public.
