Bridgeport, CT - Bridgeport’s Award-Winning Downtown Cabaret Theatre (DCT) Children’s Company continues its 2017/18 season by putting on the well-loved tale Pinocchio written and directed by Lance Anthony.
The show opens Saturday, January 13th at Noon, and continues January 20 - February 11, Saturdays at Noon & 2:30pm & Sundays at 1:00pm & 3:30pm
Lance Anthony, Downtown Cabaret Children's Theatre's leading actor and director of fifteen years, is adding the role of writer to his credits! Pinocchio will be written and directed by Lance, who will also be playing the role of Geppetto. He puts his own spin on the classic tale of Pinocchio and the puppet's quest to become a real boy. True to Cabaret Children's Theatre style, there are fun, energetic musical numbers, humor, audience participation, double entendres and a cast of six familiar actors bringing a multitude of characters to life...AND there's a giant dogfish!
The professional cast includes Lance Anthony, Corinne Marshall, Andrea Pane, Robert Peterpaul, Jessica Rahrig, and Myles Tripp. The production’s creative team is led by Director and Choreographer Lance Anthony, Musical Director Eli Newsom, Costume Designer Lesley Neilson-Bowman, Lighting Designer Axel Hammerman, Sound Designer Chris Gensur, and Production Stage Manager Jennie Davies.
On Friday, January 19, 2018 join cast members from Pinocchio at the Fairfield University Bookstore for a special Kids Story Time for ages 3 and up. Cast members will read aloud Pinocchio and perform a scene from the show. There will be photo ops and freebies for all who attend. Story Time will start at 4:30pm.
