Fairfield, CT - Ballroom Dancesport Center will celebrate its official grand opening on Saturday, January 13, with an open house from 11:30AM-2:30PM at its new location within the Fairfield Sportsplex located at 85 Mill Plain Road (Suite R) in Fairfield.
Activities, including demonstrations and performances, will be held throughout the day beginning at 11:30AM, culminating with a ribbon cutting at 2:00PM officiated by Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau.
During Saturday’s grand opening event, Ballroom Dancesport Center will be offering free beginners’ Ballroom Dancing classes and ballroom dancing demonstrations by the Center’s children and adult students. The classes and demonstrations will be led by Sergey Dementyev and Viktoriya Kolbenkova, Center’s co-managers and lead instructors, who are world class Ballroom Dancing professionals and competitors, themselves.
Sergey and Viktoriya, along with owners and instructors Vladimir and Irina Gorshkov, all of whom are Fairfield residents, will be available throughout the day for questions and interviews.
For adults, Ballroom Dancesport Center offers a wide variety of group classes and private lessons. Ballroom dancing is both a fun exercise and lead to improved cardio-vascular fitness as well as better posture, balance, coordination and self-confidence. “Dancing is a great way to relieve stress, meet new people, and improve your overall mental and emotional well-being,” said owner Vladimir Gorshkov. “It adds fun, romance and excitement to your life and is perfect hobby for couples,” he added.
For kids (ages 3 and up), Ballroom Dancesport Center offers 2 main programs – Dancesport and Performance. Dancesport programs give children the unique opportunity to have all of the benefits of Ballroom Dancing and can introduce them to the exciting world of Dancesport competitions, held both locally or around the country. The Ballroom Dancesport Center has classes for all levels from beginners to champions.
