
Bridgeport’s Award-Winning Downtown Cabaret Theatre (DCT) Children’s Company closes its 2017/18 season by doing a Cabaret twist on the classic fairytale Sleeping Beauty written by Phill Hill.
Opening Weekend: April 14 & 15, Saturday at 12noon & Sunday at 1:00pm
April 21 – May 20, Saturdays at 12noon & 2:30pm & Sundays at 1:00pm & 3:30pm
It’s not always easy being a princess, especially when a wicked witch places a spell on you. But all is not lost for Princess Adelaide as long as she has her three silly but good-natured fairy Godmothers by her side. But even the best intentions can’t always protect the princess, and when the spell comes true, only a very special prince can free her.
The professional cast includes Lance Anthony (Bridgeport), Ashley DePascale (West Haven), Taylor Hoffman (New Haven), Corinne Marshall (Hamden), Andrea Pane (Fairfield), Robert Peterpaul (Darien), and Eric Regan (Fairfield). The production’s creative team is led by Director Frank Root, Choreographer Abby Root, Musical Director Eli Newsom, Set Designer Rosalind Isquith, Costume Designer Lesley Neilson Bowman, Lighting Designer Axel Hammerman, Sound Designer Chris Gensur, and Production Stage Manager Jennie Davies.
The Downtown Cabaret Theatre has announced their 2018/2019 Children’s Theatre Season. These musical productions will have the classic Cabaret twists the Children's Theatre is known for with song, dance and lots of audience participation for the kids! The new season includes Little Witches (October 6 - 28), The Christmas Elf 2 (November 10 - December 23), Rumpelstiltskin (January 12 - February 10), The Princess and the Frog (February 23 - March 31), and Snow White (April 13 - May 19). Season subscriptions are available now, and single tickets will go on sale May 21st, 2018.
