Fairfield's Circle Hotel Debuts New Mural

Fairfield, CT - The iconic Circle Hotel Fairfield has debuted their latest public art initiative following their exhibit of “Paparazzi Dogs,” the world-renowned bronze statues by Australian artists Gillie and Marc. The Circle Hotel Mural Project promises at least one year of engaging, eye-catching murals, and has debuted the first installment, designed and painted by Fairfield business owner Frankie Frieri of Three Roses Tattoo Studio. New murals are expected throughout the year.

Frieri’s honeybee-themed mural will delight passersby from now through the fall. Frieri drew inspiration for his colorful mural from his love of nature, especially honeybees. At some point during the winter, the hotel expects to debut its next mural, designed and painted by NYC-based graphic designer and letterer Brian Kaspr.

A longtime art enthusiast himself, Ed Gormbley, managing director of the real estate investment firm that owns the hotels, is delighted to incorporate yet another public art initiative into the hotel landscape. “The playful Paparazzi Dogs brought happiness to locals and travelers alike. Now, The Circle Hotel Mural Project gives us the opportunity to feature both locally and nationally-known artists as well as offer a platform for us to collaborate with local organizations like Fairfield’s high schools, Sacred Heart University and Fairfield University” remarked Gormbley. He added, “We’re excited to add some color to the Post Road landscape, and we look forward to hearing what locals think about our mural project.”

Circle Hotel Fairfield welcomes suggestions for the third and fourth installations of The Circle Hotel Mural Project. If you have an idea and/or would like to participate, please send an email to art@circlehotelfairfield.com
