Fairfield, Conn. -  Fairfield Public Libraries will host a talk with speech language pathologist Nancy Hastings, MA, CCC, when she visits to discuss early speech and language development. Topics she will present include: ways to stimulate and expand your child’s early speech and language skills; ways to elicit early vocalizations, words and phrases; and examples of how feeding and drinking abilities impact speech production. Her focus will be on children who are not yet talking or are just beginning to use words – 6 months to 30 months of age.

This presentation will be offered at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, on Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30 pm and at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, on Thursday, November 14 at 6:30 pm. Registration is required. This lecture is designed for parents and caregivers.
