StretchLab Opens in Fairfield, CT

Fairfield, Conn. – The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that its new member, StretchLab Fairfield, celebrated its grand opening with a Ribbon Cutting on October 24, 2019.  The official ribbon cutting ceremony was officiated by the Town of Fairfield’s Chief of Staff, Nancy Carberry.

Owner Andy Hicks opened StretchLab because he believes that assisted stretching is a hugely effective wellness strategy. Says Andy, “Even in the short period we've been open, many of our members have seen transformative results."

Andy is a paddle tennis fanatic, and assisted stretching has helped him perform better on the court, with a side advantage of feeling better on a day-to-day basis. “We specialize in stretching, and we rely on techniques such as PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation). We transform the lives of our clients through a dedicated and highly customized stretching routine. Our stretch leaves you feeling relaxed, but also energized and ready for action. Over time, our service can make lasting changes to your body.”

Andy continues, “Our General Manager, Kacie Skidd, is a career fitness manager, a competitive ballroom dancer, and also a new mom."

Below, Kacie refers to the benefits of stretching, and how it helps.

  • Improves sports performance.
  • Increases range of motion and flexibility.
  • Reduces muscle and joint pain.
  • Improves posture.
  • Improves relaxation and decrease stress.

“We feel that the Sportsplex is a perfect location for StretchLab, because Fairfield is a community where people love to enjoy busy, active lives. StretchLab helps people maintain that busy pace, whether in athletics or in professional life.” Continues Kacie.
