Why did you start your business?
My partners and I purchased Metroguard to continue the company’s reputation of providing physical security products to residents and businesses in Fairfield and New Haven counties. These products include Key Holding Services, House Watch, Alarm Response, armed and unarmed Security Guards, site checks, and event security. Metroguard has been in the security business for over twenty years.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our best-selling product is alarm response. Metroguard will respond to clients' fire, burglar, medical, or trouble alarms, and not just check the exterior, but by having client access, we also conduct an interior check, reset the alarm, and stay on location to solve any issues found. This is much more than offered by local emergency services.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
As new owners, we are embracing technology upgrades, fleet management, expansion of alarm response clients, partnerships with local alarm companies, and will be offering Risk Management solutions to include on-site security surveys, threat assessments, and training in life skills such as CPR/AED, Stop the Bleed, Run, Hide, Fight, and self-defense.
