Sunflowers for Wishes at Griswold's Buttonwood Farm Supports Make-A-Wish CT

TRUMBULL, CT – Buttonwood Farm is hosting its 18th annual Make-A-Wish® Connecticut's Sunflowers For Wishes fundraiser July 24-August 1.

Close your eyes and imagine a sea of more than 450,000 sunflowers in bloom on 15 acres of beautiful farmland and the cold, sweet taste of farm-fresh, homemade ice cream - more than 50 flavors, including a special sunflower flavor sold only during the ten-day Sunflowers for Wishes festival. Sounds like the perfect way to spend an idyllic summer day, right?

Named by Better Homes & Gardens as one of the 11 most beautiful sunflower fields in the country, a visit to Buttonwood Farms’ 18th Annual Sunflowers for Wishes is not to be missed! Cut your own stems for $2 per flower and make a beautiful bouquet to take home, with all proceeds to benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

Also returning to the farm this year will be the famous Sunflowers for Wishes t-shirts and note cards, alongside specialty Make-A-Wish merchandise to support the fundraising. Sunflowers are available while supplies last.

Duane Button and his family donate one hundred percent of the proceeds to Make-A-Wish® Connecticut to help grant wishes for local children battling critical illnesses. Thanks to the Buttons, more than $1.3 million has been donated and countless wishes have been granted for 17 incredible years!

Sunflowers for Wishes is located at Buttonwood Farm, 473 Shetucket Turnpike in Griswold, CT. The event is open to the public from 10AM until dusk, July 24th through August 1st.
