“Historically, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce has been holding this event for many, many years, and this June 28th, will be our 77th year!”, states Beverly A. Balaz, President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. “This annual Chamber tradition, and the purpose of this event, is to recognize and acknowledge those local Chamber businesses and organizations who have made a positive impact within our community – one way or another.”
Beverly continues: “Appreciation comes in many forms … and for the annual Chamber’s Award Dinner, we believe that it is just nice to openly say “thank you” and recognize businesses, organizations, and hard-working people for their important contributions – that’s what this annual Awards Dinner is all about … to Congratulate, Celebrate, and say Thank You!”
“This will be a very special evening”, continues Beverly, “as we will be recognizing our two wonderful Universities, Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University, for their significant economic impact not only in the Town of Fairfield, but throughout the state. And of mention, are their two new sports arenas, drawing people from near and far.:
- Fairfield University: Leo D. Mahoney Arena
- Sacred Heart University: Martire Family Arena
The Chamber strongly believes, and supports, the importance of our local business and non-profit community – together, they are the very essence of our Town, building a solid foundation that attracts other businesses and families to move here … and at the same time, creates a special and unique Town vibrancy for visitors to shop, dine and enjoy all that Fairfield has to offer, including our growing performing arts & entertainment sector.
