Three questions with Jim Halliday, founder of Hunnyball.
Why did you start your business?
My sons and I started Hunnyball because Nick (the youngest) thought we could bring a game we played - and enjoyed - when the kids were growing up could become the basis for a new backyard game. As we wrote on our About Us page:
"Hunnyball (not Honeyball!) was born from a combination of games Nick used to lose at when we were kids. Named after our dog, Hunny, because we are super creative. Hunnyball (not Honeyball!) was born from a combination of games Nick used to lose at when we were kids. Named after our dog, Hunny, because we are super creative. After building a prototype and playing together with some friends, we all felt we had something cool - something we wanted to share. So here we are, sharing it! We hope that Hunnyball can give families, friends, and maybe even strangers, some of the same fun-filled memories that games have given us over the past 20-odd years."
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our best-selling product is our "Complete Set" - the one that has all the pieces you need for hours of fun. You can find it here!
The business that supports us the most is... the local USPS (for packaging material and shipments), the FedEx franchise near Centro (for marketing collateral and shipments), and the UPS franchise near Bob's Furniture (for shipments). Also, Hole In the Wall is our go-to lunch spot as Special #2 is the family favorite, and Las Vetas Lounge is the spot for the best morning meetings. The Golf Lounge is our key recreational activity!
