The County Assemblies' Charity Balls Will Not Return in 2024 Without Help

Fairfield County, CT - The County Assemblies, Inc., the non-profit organization that sponsors both the County Assembly Charity Balls for high school juniors and the Red & White Charity Balls for high school seniors, are in jeopardy if the open adult Board member seats are not filled by Monday, July 31, 2023. The 85th Anniversary Charity Balls returned in 2023 after a two-year pandemic hiatus, but the events will not be scheduled unless the organization has enough volunteers. The events bring together high school juniors and seniors from the towns of Easton, Fairfield, Redding, Weston, Westport and Wilton to raise needed funds for charities that serve children and teens in Fairfield County.

Adult Board members serve from each high school invited to the events. In order to invite the juniors and seniors from both Fairfield Ludlowe and Fairfield Warde, there must be Board members that are parents of students from the Classes of 2024 and 2025. These Board seats must be filled by July 31 or the 2024 Charity Balls will be cancelled. The group would not like to see the organization shuttered due to lack of representation and not be able to raise needed funds for area charities -- after 85 years of continual effort!

The organization would be delighted to share more information about the Charity Balls and how you can be a part of the Board. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to reach out as soon as possible via email at: info@thecountyassemblies.org as the deadline, again, is Monday, July 31.
