Fairfield Restaurant Week to Return Oct. 23 - Nov. 5

Fairfield, CT - First Selectwoman Brenda L. Kupchick is pleased to announce that the popular Fairfield Restaurant Week, now in its twelfth year, will make its return on Monday, October 23 and run through Sunday, November 5.

More than two dozen restaurants are expected to participate in this year’s event with special prix fixe lunch and dinner menus showcasing their finest culinary offerings.

First Selectwoman Kupchick said, “Restaurant Week gives our community the opportunity to visit a local favorite or try something new. This annual event is another way the Town can show its support for our local businesses, help our local economy and provide people with an enjoyable dining out experience.”

“We hope that residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy and support the many restaurants that Fairfield has to offer,” stated Mark Barnhart, Fairfield’s Director of Community & Economic Development. This year’s event will again run two full weeks, giving patrons more time to visit their favorite eating establishments.

Fairfield University is a proud sponsor of this year’s event. “One of the reasons why our students love being at Fairfield is the great selection of cuisine we have through our food service company on campus, but they especially love the diverse restaurants, eateries, and take-out establishments that the Town of Fairfield has to offer,” said Jennifer Anderson, vice president of Marketing and Communications at Fairfield University. “We count ourselves lucky that the University is flanked by two main throughways, both lined with any kind of food you could possibly want, and we know that the mutually beneficial relationship between these restaurants and our students, faculty, and staff is a vital one for both the community and our University. The Economic Development team in Fairfield is committed to promoting the town’s booming food industry and we’re excited to help celebrate during Restaurant Week each year.”

First Selectwoman Kupchick added, “We are very appreciative of Fairfield University’s continued support of Fairfield Restaurant Week.”

Full-service restaurants wishing to participate in Fairfield Restaurant Week or businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities should contact Mark Barnhart, Director of Community and Economic Development, at (203) 256-3120 or mbarnhart@fairfieldct.org for more information.
