Fairfield Public Library Hosts Benefit Fashion Show

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Friends of Fairfield Public Library is pleased to announce that Fairfield-based fashion designer Jennifer Butler will show her fall/winter collection in the Fairfield Public Library’s Bruce S. Kershner Art Gallery on Sunday, October 1st at 2 p.m.

The show is open to the public and all donations benefit the Fairfield Public Library’s programs and projects. The Bruce S. Kershner Art Gallery is located in the library’s main location at 1080 Old Post Road in Fairfield.

“The beautiful Bruce S. Kershner Art gallery is the perfect place to show Jennifer’s creative and artistic designs,” said Friends President Donna Cahill.

Jennifer Butler, a board member of the Friends of Fairfield Public Library, has supported the library for more than 10 years. Her bi-annual fashion shows have raised thousands of dollars for the library, in particular the Teen Library, where a plaque recognizes Butler’s contributions.

“The Fairfield Public Library is a crucial part of our community and I’m grateful that people have been very generous with donations for the library at my shows over the years,” Butler said. “Local models will be wearing day and evening wear, including the traditional bridal ending. It’s a fun way to meet new friends, see old friends and support our library.”

To attend, please register at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org on the events page. Light refreshments will be served.

Jennifer Butler Design, located at 75 Hillside Road in Fairfield, has been part of the local community for more than 25 years. Her clients have worn her designs at hundreds of weddings, gatherings and special events. It’s “Fashion - Made in Fairfield.”
